Born in Bonnie Road, he was a son of the late Eveand Eva (Fountain) Babin. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Clare Branch 52. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving are common law wife Dorane Harvey, Meteghan Station; children, Leslie (Kim); Prospect, Louise (George) Jackson, Prospect; Roy (Marjorie), Ardoise; Ralph (Susan), Prospect; Ross (Margaret), Prospect; Earl (Maureen), Timberlea; brother Rosario (Alice), St Benoni; sisters, Leonie Litalien, New Hampshire; Ina Bonneau, Massachusetts; Eveline Patenaude, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Lee, Troy, Christopher, Erika, Mark (deceased), Nicole, Kate, Joel, Lindsay; great grandchildren, Kameron, Amy-Lea. He was predeceased by wife, Elaine (Weaver); brothers, Clarence, Albert, Oswald, Donald; sister, Regina. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be 2:30pm today in Sacred Heart Church, Saulnierville, where a legion service will take place, Rev Albeni D'Entremont officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home.
